In our investigation, we found that that the viral claim is misleading. The video is from Brazil where a young boy was beaten to death over alleged LGBTQ phobia.

After doing reverse image search on Google using the keyframes of the video, we found several reports of Brazilian news articles published in 2018 which reported the same incident. According to an article, the video is from Fortaleza, the capital of the Brazilian state of Ceara, where a 17-year-old teenager was killed by ax blows and stones by at least five young men. The barbarism occurred on December 30 and is being investigated by the Civil Police of Ceará.

As per another news report, the teenager was murdered over an alleged LBTQ phobia. In an official note, the Civil Police of the State of Ceará informs that," after investigating the origin of the images, it was found that it was the homicide that killed Wesley Tiago de Sousa Carvalho (17), in the neighborhood Praia do Futuro - Integrated Security Area 10 (AIS 10), on December 30". The opinion of the police investigation denies that it is an LGBT-phobic crime.

The article also states that the opinion of the police investigation who denied that it is an LGBT-phobic crime '. However, the motive behind the crime has not been ascertained.

In conclusion, an old video from Brazil where a young boy was beaten to death over an alleged LGBTQ phobia falsely shared as India with a communal spin. The video has nothing to do with India.
